Plastic Free Plymouth

The Plastic Free Plymouth Campaign
Were you inspired by Blue Planet II? We were ! For the last four years we’ve been working with Surfers Against Sewage Plastic Free Communities project to gain Plastic Free Community status for the city.
We achieved the status for the Waterfront area in June 2018 ad then went on to gain citywide status a year later in June 2019. We still work closely with SAS and with the citywide Plan for Plastic to tackle single-use plastic wherever possible through the Interreg funded Preventing Plastic Pollution project.
Helping us out we already have over 300 businesses (our Pioneers), Community Groups and individuals (our Ambassadors) and schools (our Champions) but we are still welcoming new partners.
This page provides all you’ll need to take part – the pledge form we’d love you to sign up to, details of our new Rewards scheme, forthcoming workshops and events and links to both the SAS campaign and the Plymouth Plan for Plastics.
