Trees & Greenspaces
Trees, Open Space, Parks and Habitats
Environment Plymouth works very closely with the Plymouth Open Spaces Network, the Plymouth Tree Partnership and the Council’s Plan for Trees that now includes at least three major funding programmes for future work.
Our trees and green spaces are under threat from development, old age (many of our urban trees will mature at the same time) and pests and diseases such as Ash Die Back. Concerted action is needed to protect them and to plan for the future.
Trees share so much with us – from their impact on our health and wellbeing to the cover that limits climate change – we cannot afford to lose them. This Working Group, led by Penny Tarrant and James Brown, works strategically to keep everyone in the loop. For more information contact Penny or James on info@environmentplymouth.org
